Circle of Life Children's Center is located in a century-old former carriage house which was converted first to a priory for the Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth and later an adult hospice facility known as Theo House, part of Center for Hope Hospice. On the beautiful grounds of Saint Walburg's Monastery in Elizabeth, Circle of Life has the best of all worlds - a 5,200 sq.ft. 2-story facility set in a garden-like setting, yet close to a major bus route and less than 5 miles from University Hospital in Newark where our Pediatric Palliative Care Team is based.
Known as Magnolia House to represent the cycle of life inherent in our name of a beautiful flowering tree, we are now in the early stage of creating a warm and inviting environment in which to provide services to our families, including counseling, education, bereavement support and family activities. Circle of Life will also be providing workshops for healthcare professionals and holding small fundraising events in this multi-use space.
