Medical Director 

James M. Oleske, MD, MPH, FAAP

Board Certified in Pediatric Palliative Care, Dr. Oleske is internationally recognized for his work in the field of Immunology & Infectious Diseases, specifically in the treatment of pediatric AIDS. His work with this fragile population spurred his vision for a freestanding program providing state-of-the-art pain and symptom management and end-of-life care for children with life-limiting illnesses, which became the Circle of Life Children's Center, Inc. Dr. Oleske is Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Professor of Pediatrics, Director of Pulmonary, Allergy, Immunology & Infectious Diseases, and Medical Director, FXB Center for Children at University Hospital, Newark.

Onajovwe Fofah, MD, FAAP

Trained in Nigeria, his country of birth, Dr. Fofah is Board Certified both in Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Fofah is Director of Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics at University Hospital, UMDNJ/New Jersey Medical School, Newark.

Sheila Lenihan Walsh, APRN, BC, MA

Sheila Walsh earned her BS in Nursing from Seton Hall University, and her MA in Parent-Child Nursing  at New York University, with a minor in Education. She is a certified Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist,  and has been certified as a grief counselor. Winner of numerous professional awards for nursing  excellence, Sheila has participated in a variety of conferences and symposiums and has written a number of articles for professional publications.


In her professional career, Sheila has worked as a staff nurse, head nurse, clinical instructor and assistant professor. She has developed and led a variety of support programs, including for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), for families experiencing perinatal loss, for children with asthma, and adolescents with scoliosis. Sheila instituted the first program in New Jersey enabling parents to accompany their children to the operating room for surgery. She developed and implemented a variety of recreational programs for ill and disabled children. She also developed and served as director for Pediatric Orthopedics, PC, a combined private practice and hospital service. Sheila has worked at University Hospital, Newark as Clinical Education Specialist, at Overlook Hospital, Summit, as an Advanced Practice Nurse, at United Hospital, Newark as a staff nurse, at Hunter-Bellevue, NYC, as a nursing instructor, and at Martland Hospital, Newark, as a pediatric head nurse.

Naimah G. Campbell-Jenkins, RN, BSN

Naimah has a true passion for working with children and their families. She began working with  Circle of Life in 2008, after working for several years as a Pediatric Nurse. Naimah is currently  completing her Master of Science in nursing degree at UMDNJ School of Nursing. She received her  BSN from UMDNJ, graduating Cum Laude, and a BS in Public Health from Temple University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

staff Eveline

Eveline Munoz, RN

A graduate of Rutgers University, Eveline received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She has training in Pediatric and Neonatal Care, and Bereavement Service Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training.

A Registered Nurse since 2005 at University Hospital, Newark, Eveline has been an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, Newark, preparing students for the NCLEX examination, and a Critical Thinking Professor to develop skill sets for first year students to successfully enter the college of nursing program.

In addition, Eveline has certifications in basic, advanced and pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association.  Eveline is a resident of Belleville.
